BY THE LANGUAGE OF MINIATURE

The medieval miniature has captivated the artist for many years. Armen Daneghyan has long desired to converse with Toros Roslin, who lived in the 13th century. To this end, Daneghyan delved deeply into the Bible, which helped him understand the symbols in ancient manuscripts. Once he developed his own style and was able to express his thoughts more clearly, he produced remarkable artworks such as "The Dream of St. Grigor the Enlightener" and a cycle of seven works depicting the Apocalypse, among others.
The artist has a fondness for cold and calm colors, which he incorporates into his creations. Over time, he shifted his focus and began exploring patriotic, philosophical, and other themes. Among his new works is a cycle dedicated to European classical culture, featuring pieces like "Beethoven," "Niccolò Paganini," and "The Look of Shakespeare."
In a recent conversation, the artist mentioned that this spring, in April, he will hold a personal exhibition in Strasbourg, organized by the Council of Europe. "This exhibition is a significant responsibility for me," Daneghyan said, as he prepares to present his art to a European audience. It is worth noting that the exhibition will coincide with the spring summit of the Council of Europe.
