About the artist

Armen Daneghyan is a visual artist whose work is a harmonious blend of tradition and innovation.
Daneghyan has pioneered a unique genre within Armenian Visual Arts, which he has named Modern Miniature. This innovative style marks a new chapter in modern Armenian art, twisting the rich heritage of Armenian Miniature from the Middle Ages with contemporary themes. His artworks span various series, each addressing religious, patriotic, philosophical, and other modern issues, reflecting the depth and breadth of the artist's creative vision.
In his works, Daneghyan demonstrates not only his technical mastery but also his profound understanding of religion and art. His early work focused on materials such as wood and canvas. Still, over the last decade, the paper has become his primary medium, offering a universal canvas for the artist's detailed expressions. For Daneghyan, the fusion of traditional and modern styles is not just a preference but a defining principle of his artistic identity. His unique approach has secured a distinguished place for his work both in Armenian and global art scene, where the old and the new coexist in a seamless and thought-provoking dialogue.
